We recently completed production on our debut SAG Ultra-Low Budget feature film, Drawing With Chalk.

We were fortunate to have a great crew led by Michael LaVoie (DP) and a great cast including POOJA KUMAR who was the recipient of a Screen Actors Guild Emerging Actor Award, as well as winning the title for Miss India USA.

Other great actors joining our cast include DEBARGO SANYAL, SUSHAM BEDI, KAPIL BAWA, MICHAEL GENTILE, TOM LOUGHLIN (one of our professors we had when we were at SUNY FREDONIA... yeah, we went waaay back) and BRENNAN GIGLIO (my son and a great ham to boot!).

Jay and Matt are lifelong friends.  They once played in a rock band but after years chasing "the big prize" in New York, they find themselves back in their hometown working at the union factory and dreaming of what might have been.  As they hit 40, they decide to give it one more shot.  Shortly after starting the process of writing and recording, Jay begins struggling between his childhood dreams of success and his adult responsibilities to his wife Jasmin and 5 year old son Bryan.  Matt has his own demons as he battles depression and a fear of being too old for an industry that thrives on youth.  When Jay is laid off at the factory, his fierce commitment to his music threatens to tear his family apart.  He is ultimately faced with having to make a decision whether or not to say goodbye to one part of his life and begin a new journey with the other.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION:
The film is being shot with a Panasonic HVX200 (720 24p) and the Letus Extreme 35mm adapter (we also used the Brevis 35mm adapter on some shots).  We are also primarily using a dolly system and camera crane to maintain that 'Big Hollywood Look' despite our small budget.

The film will be scored by Todd Giglio and the film's soundtrack will contain many new songs by the band six mile hill (currently writing and recording).  Samples of the music will be posted shortly.
